Setting and outdoor seating area was beautiful. The staff on the whole were friendly and helpful. My room was lovely and comfortable and spotlessly clean.

Location great - food was lovely - it does boast on reading a great selection of cask ales there was only one and it was a pale ale would not put that as a cask like the likes of wainwrights or Timothy Taylor room was nice and spacious but overlooked the car park but can’t always get the best rooms I suppose staff friendly on arrival

Big shout out to Georgia, the head receptionist and amazing first aider. When I took a rather dramatic tumble down a large flight of concrete steps during the preparations for my daughters wedding later that day, she was immediately on hand to her me for and well enough for the wedding to continue. The rest of the staff that day were amazing. The venue itself is amazing, food was fantastic and everywhere was spotless

The gardens are gorgeous. Fantastic view of them from my room. My room was clean and comfortable, just abit more attention to the shower and had everything I needed. Tv brew station etc and the shower was good. Good temp and power was perfect. Food was fantastic. My second time here for a wedding and I would stay over again.

Lovely countryside location, very quiet, Good car parking. Good value breakfast. Very helpful reception staff when the room key card failed.

We attended a wedding here before, but never stayed. Our room was directly opposite the door from the stairs, other than some rowdy people around 11.30pm it was very quiet. We had a four poster bed in the rom which was very creaky, every time we turned over but the room was large, had everything we needed and a fab Coffee Machine.

Very comfortable just avoid weddings, we weren’t told that there was school prom on that evening which we were slightly disappointed about - but the music stopped at 11pm May be the staff should warn when booking as it did affect the tranquility somewhat ( even if it made us feel young again!)as above

Beautiful location, had a room with comfy bed, walk-in shower, and a lovely view, nice garden with lots of birds, very helpful staff who offered to bring my luggage to my room, good choice on menu and well cooked and presented food, I have been staying at this hotel for several years and will continue to do so.

Attended for a wedding, stunning location, very attentive and friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, good food, the building itself is gorgeous and feels spacious, our room was nice and clean

The hotel was in a great location overlooking the Ribble Valley. The staff were friendly and the cooked breakfast was very nice. Room was quiet, clean, and tidy. Liked the old character of the Hotel, gardens were lovely.
